USA SAT test dates for 2023

The late registration deadlines are also the deadlines for regular cancellation and test date changes.
The College Board has established anticipated dates for the test dates in the fall of 2024. However, you should always double-check the College Board website to verify that some test dates have not been changed. The registration deadlines are not yet available as of the time of publication.
The anticipated SAT test dates for the fall of 2024 are as follows:
- August 24
- October 5
- November 2
- December 7
The SAT is switching from paper and pencil format to a digital format in 2023 and 2024. Starting in fall 2023, all students taking the PSAT-related assessments will take the digital tests. SAT School Day and SAT weekend administrations in the U.S. will still be paper and pencil. Starting in spring 2024, all students will take the full SAT Suite of Assessments digitally.
The SAT will be fully digital starting in 2024. International students will take the digital SAT in 2023.
The new digital SAT will be taken on a laptop or tablet, either their own personal device or one provided by the school. The exam length will be shorter, the comprehensive passage reading part will be easier, and the test questions will be more adaptive for the students.
The paper SAT will not be available starting in the spring of 2024.
The digital SAT is 2 hours and 14 minutes long, which is about an hour shorter than the current paper and pencil test. The digital SAT has 98 questions, which is 56 fewer questions than the current paper SAT. The digital SAT also offers more time to answer each question. For example, passages in the Reading and Writing section are shorter, and you only have to answer one question per passage.
